A huge thank you to our amazing community volunteers, The Howards, for visiting Mrs. Grant’s class and leading a fun lesson on sound! Students learned all about vibrations and how sound travels. Here they are having a great time practicing communication with cups and string telephones.

Love in Action, a student leader group at Love Memorial researched areas of need in the community and decided that the Child Advocacy Center could use some LOVE. Students have designed a donation drive to help give back to an organization that helps so many children in our community. Please consider donating to this wonderful cause. Drop off of donations will be in the front office at Love Memorial for anyone in the community April 20-24. Students can drop off donations in front of the school library.

Purple Up Day is a special time to recognize and honor the brave children of our military families. The color purple represents all branches of the military coming together as one.

A note from Mrs. Grant: We had some fun with our spelling word work this week. Students channeled their inner Michelangelo. We taped our papers to the underside of our desks and students had to “paint” (write) their spelling words.
