Winter sports are about to start their regular season and we are excited. Before that happens we will have our winter sports sportsmanship meeting on Monday 11/10 at 6:30 in the new gym. If you have any questions please reach out to your individual coach. GO MUSTANGS!

1st Period: 8:00–9:25
2nd Period: 9:30–11:30
🍽️ 1st Lunch (A & B): 10:30–11:00
🍽️ 2nd Lunch (C & D): 11:00–11:30

LCST students will attend 1st and 2nd periods as usual and return to campus in time for dismissal.

Your 2025 Dual Team Tennis STATE CHAMPIONS. What a year ladies. These young ladies started Aug 1st in the heat and finished yesterday battling the wind, cold and rain at the end of the season but no matter the conditions continued to dominate match after match. Almost all being recognized for individual awards but the most important coming together as a team to win the ultimate prize in high school sports!! Thank you Coach Mackel and ladies for a great season and CONGRATULATIONS!! Let's get them rings sized up and ordered!! GO MUSTANGS

The Lady Mustang Tennis team has departed to the Burlington Tennis Center to take on the Durham School of Arts in the 2025 NCHSAA Dual Team Tennis State Championship. Match starts at 12:30. Big thank you to our Booster Club for the bus and our great parents, community members and students for giving them a great send off. Best of luck ladies. GO MUSTANGS

Big CONGRATULATIONS to Coach Mackel and our Lady Mustang tennis team as they have captured the 2025 5A Western Regional Championship. They will head to Burlington tomorrow and compete for the 5A team dual State Championship starting at 12:30. Families and community members let's give these young ladies a proper send off. If you can please meet in front of the new gym at 8:15 to see our girls off. Good luck ladies, GO MUSTANGS!

What a year for our 2025 Lady Mustang Golf Team. This past Monday and Tuesday they battled wind, cold and rain and still competed at a high level to finish as the 5A State Runner ups. This season they won the WFAC Championship and 5A Western Regional Championship. All 5 members were named to the All Conference team. Thank you Coach Hancock, Maddie, Kennedy, Cassidy, Riley and Megan for this memorable season. GO MUSTANGS!!

Congratulations to Abby Trofe and Aubrey Ward for being selected to the AVCA Best and Brightest!!!
The AVCA Best & Brightest Award is an award meant to honor individual high school Senior student-athletes who excel on and off the court. To be eligible for the Best and Brightest Award, Senior student-athletes must have earned at least a 3.5 Unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent, if using a different GPA scale) during their junior year AND play in 50% of their varsity team’s sets during their senior season.

Big CONGRATULATIONS to freshman Kennedy Gallentine as she has captured the NCHSAA 5A Golf individual State Championship at Stonebridge today. Kennedy birdied the last hole to stay even par and take home the hardware! Great job, GO MUSTANGS

Big one today as your #1 seeded Mustangs will host Hickory for the Western Regional Championship. Winner will play in the team dual state championship on Friday. Match is set for 4:00, we will make a decision around 1:30, GO MUSTANGS!

Let's all wish McKenzie Benfield and Austin Hudgins good luck as they prep this week to compete in the 5A NCHSAA X Country State Championship on Saturday. GO MUSTANGS!

Big week in EL athletics. Winter sports begin on Wednesday, all athletes must have an up to date physical on file and family ID completed. Any questions reach out to your individual coach. Golf will compete for the 5A state championship as a team and individually. Tennis hosts the 5A Western Regional final on T vs Hickory winner will play for the 5A state championship on Friday. Qualifiers in X country will compete in the 5 A state championship on Saturday. Soccer wraps up the regular season with playoff brackets announced Friday. Our 2025 WFAC Conference champion Lady Mustang Tennis team continues to dominate on the court with a big 4th round win over Franklin today. With this win the #1 seeded Mustangs will host Hickory on Tuesday, 10/28, at 4:00 in the 5A Western Regional Championship. The winner of this match will play for the NCHSAA dual team 5A State Championship. So, set your calendars now and please come out and support these young ladies. GO MUSTANGS
