This week in Leader in Me, students are learning that Balance is Best through Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw ✨

In today’s fast-changing world, it can be tough to keep up with new challenges, constant changes, and everyday pressures. Our students are discovering that taking time to care for their mind, body, heart, and spirit helps them stay balanced, focused, and ready for whatever comes next.

When students “sharpen the saw,” they build the habits they need to stay strong, adaptable, and confident in a global environment 🌍

💡 Ask your student: What is one way you are sharpening your saw this week?

HYPE Summer Academy — Summary

The HYPE Summer Academy, launched by Atrium Health, was created to address the growing shortage of health care professionals in the Charlotte region. The program aims to inspire and prepare the next generation of health care professionals, particularly with hands-on exposure to various health care careers. Through this experience, students can explore different roles in health care and gain early preparation for future careers in the field.
HYPE Summer Academy starts on Monday, June 15 and ends on Saturday, July 18. The program
operates Monday through Thursday, with a break from June 30 to July 4. To compensate for missed
summer work opportunities, students will receive a $2,250 stipend.

🌍 Leader in Me – This Week’s Focus: Working Together!

This week, students are learning an important life lesson from the 7 Habits: we live in an interdependent world. That means we rely on others in many parts of our lives—and when we work together, we can accomplish even more!

Students are also discovering how great teams work. When people bring different strengths to the table, they can support one another and make weaknesses less important. Strong teams celebrate what each member does best!

When we combine our strengths, amazing things can happen! 💙
