🌍 Leader in Me – This Week’s Focus: Working Together!
This week, students are learning an important life lesson from the 7 Habits: we live in an interdependent world. That means we rely on others in many parts of our lives—and when we work together, we can accomplish even more!
Students are also discovering how great teams work. When people bring different strengths to the table, they can support one another and make weaknesses less important. Strong teams celebrate what each member does best!
When we combine our strengths, amazing things can happen! 💙

This week in Leader in Me, students are continuing to dive into Habit 5 by focusing on Empathic listening and knowing your audience to better understand and lead.
Empathic listening is a level above attentive listening. When emotions are high or tension is present, it becomes the most powerful way to connect. It requires to truly understand another person’s feelings and perspective.
Habit 5 is an inside-out approach. By first seeking to understand others, students learn that they place themselves in a stronger position to be understood and to positively influence situations.
Encourage your teen this week by asking:
💬 “How can I better understand your perspective?”
👂 “What does empathic listening look like in your friendships?”
