Today, we had a minor incident with a microwave. There was smoke, but no fire. Out of an abundance of caution and the safety of our students, the local Fire Dept was dispatched. Students and staff are safe and unharmed. Once the building was cleared, students and staff returned inside the building and continued their regular schedule. Thank you to our local Fire Dept, students, and staff for working together during this time.
What a GREAT experience our WLHS Teacher Cadets had yesterday attending the Aspiring Teacher Summit at UNC Charlotte. We spent our day learning about teaching, collaborating with new friends, and captured insight from inspiring educators all across NC. We had the privilege of being greeted by some of LCS finest! Thank you LCS for the opportunity

Fall pictures are scheduled for Aug 26, beginning at 7:40 am. Every student will be photographed. Fall flyers have been sent to your school. The job key will remain active through midnight of picture day. After picture day, ordering will be online using the ‘Personal Photo Key’ (previously shoot key).
