Good afternoon families, this is your Principal Mrs. Beam calling with this week's updates. First off, I want to give a huge thank you to Coach Fox, our staff, and our PTO volunteers that helped create a well managed, yet amazing field day for our students!
Teacher Appreciation Week is a special time for us to recognize the incredible dedication, care, and hard work our teachers bring to our school each day. They go above and beyond to support, inspire, and guide our students, often wearing many hats to ensure every child feels valued and successful. We invite you to join us in celebrating our teachers this week with a kind note, a word of thanks, or a small gesture of appreciation. Your support helps remind them just how much they mean to our entire school community.
On Monday the elementary art show winners will be recognized at the Lincolnton Cultural Center at 5:30pm. Congratulations to all of our artists!
On Tuesday our 2nd graders are going on a field trip to the Green Room and lunch at Hardees. Please ensure your child is on their best behavior and represents our school well. If any 2nd grade students received a yellow summer camp invitation, please return that as soon as possible.
Thursday is PTO duty-free lunch for Teacher Appreciation week. If you would like to volunteer to help supervise lunches please call the office or sign-up on our Facebook page.
This is an important reminder that EOG testing for students in 3rd grade Reading and 5th grade Science will begin this Friday, May 8. Please encourage your child to get plenty of rest each night, be at school on time and prepared to do their very best. A good night’s sleep and a positive mindset can make a big difference! We ask that parents do not come to eat lunch with your student this Friday due to a shift in lunch schedules while we are testing.
Yearbooks are here!! You can order your 25-26 yearbook online by following this link or scanning the QR code on the flyer to order. We also have a paper order or you can stop in the office if you prefer to pay cash or check.

Good afternoon families, this is your Principal Mrs. Beam calling with an update for tomorrow. We have a lot going on but it is going to be an amazing day at S. Ray Lowder!
We have our final All Pro Dads program of the school year beginning at 7:15am in the media center. Any adult is welcome to attend this event with your student. Doughnuts, coffee, and juice will be provided.
LHS Seniors are coming back at 9:15am to walk the halls where it all began. We are so proud of our Lowder Lion graduates and wish them the best of luck on their future endeavors.
We are very excited for Field Day this Friday May 1! Thank you to everyone who contributed to field day by sending in snacks and drinks - we now have plenty! Just a reminder, to keep the day running smoothly and safely, this will be a student-only event where we will not be able to accommodate parent attendance for field day or lunches. Our lunch schedule will be different and teachers will not be with their students during this time. We appreciate your understanding as this allows our staff to focus fully on supervising and enjoy this day with their students. Students need to wear athletic wear, tennis shoes, and bring a towel to sit on. PTO volunteers can sign-in the front office before reporting to their stations.
PRE-K PARENTS: Pre-K dismissal will look different tomorrow. Due to our parking lots being closed for field day all pre-k parents need to park in the parking lot across the street from the school and walk over to the awning to get your student(s) at 2:15.
Lastly on Friday, we will celebrate our amazing cafeteria staff for School Lunch Hero Day. We appreciate Ms Ginger, Ms Lisa, and Ms Kathy and the love they pour into our cafeteria each day!
