🍎 Teacher of the Year – Ms. Jessica Beatty
Ms. Beatty, our 5th Grade Science teacher, builds strong relationships with her students and makes learning engaging, meaningful, and fun. She truly knows each child and uses that understanding to create a classroom environment where students feel supported, challenged, and excited to learn. A dependable team player, Ms. Beatty consistently goes above and beyond, meeting every expectation with excellence. Her passion, dedication, and positive impact make her an incredible asset to St. James and so deserving of this honor.
📊 Support Personnel of the Year – Mrs. Lindsey McIntosh
In her first year as our Data Manager, Mrs. McIntosh has stepped into a challenging role with incredible grace, professionalism, and efficiency. She ensured a seamless transition this year through her strong organization, attention to detail, and willingness to help others. Lindsey is always positive, approachable, and ready to find solutions. From mastering Infinite Campus to supporting staff and welcoming families with a smile, she has exceeded expectations and become an invaluable part of our school community.
🩺 Service Personnel of the Year – Mrs. Courtney Koblank
As our school nurse, Mrs. Koblank provides exceptional care for our students each and every day. From managing chronic health needs to supporting students through illness or injury, Courtney approaches every situation with calm, compassion, and professionalism. She makes students feel safe, loved, and cared for, even during stressful moments. Her dedication to the health and well-being of our students, staff, and families makes her a true hero at St. James.
🤝 Volunteer(s) of the Year – Kids Hope Mentors
Our Volunteers of the Year are the amazing Kids Hope Mentors! These dedicated individuals invest their time weekly to build meaningful relationships, coach students, and strengthen our school culture. This year, they went above and beyond—painting inspirational messages in student bathrooms, building a shaded area on the K-1 playground, and continually showing up for our students. Their commitment and heart for our kids make a lasting impact.

NC Check-Ins are happening this week. We had several students absent or arriving late, and arriving on time helps students feel calm, confident, and ready to test.
Testing Schedule:
• Tomorrow (Tuesday, 1/21): Math NC Check-In
• Thursday (1/22): 5th Grade Science NC Check-In
Students who are absent will complete make-up testing.
Please help by:
• Arriving to school on time
• Getting a good night’s sleep
• Eating a healthy breakfast
Health reminder:
Students with a fever, vomiting, or diarrhea should stay home and must be 24 hours symptom-free before returning to school.

Supporting students both in the classroom and on the road, while making a difference from start to finish each day.

Families of students who ride Bus 303 (AM and/or PM) and Bus 300 (AM):
Effective upon our return to school, Mrs. Sprouse will serve as the AM driver for Bus 303, and Mrs. Wilson will serve as the PM driver for Bus 303 until further notice.
Bus 300 (AM) will also have a temporary substitute driver, Ms. Payseur.
Please be patient as our drivers adjust to these new routes. Additionally, ensure that you and/or your student are visible and on time at your designated stop so drivers can safely pick up and drop off students.

For 25 cents, we can support our Veterans this holiday season. For every quarter brought in, a paper link will be made to create a link of love! Please send in money with your student labeled "Links of Love" by Wednesday, December 17th!

🥞 Students must arrive by 7:50 AM to receive breakfast.
⏰ The tardy bell is still at 8:00 AM, but students arriving after 7:50 will not have time to eat breakfast before class begins.
