It was a busy day saying "boo" to unhealthy habits! Our teachers and students were rocking their costumes across the school!
The first two days of red ribbon week have been amazing! Monday classes were red to the max and today we had movie stars everywhere! Cannot wait to see all of the comfy PJs tomorrow.
Don't forget tomorrow is "Be a Star Student" - dress as your favorite star or movie character.
Good evening PCI this is Amy Thomas calling with your weekly updates. Tomorrow kicks off our Red Ribbon Week so please make sure you wear red. Our Fall festival will be held on Friday evening at 4:00pm we hope to see you all there. Our PTO has an amazing gift card wreath up for grabs we will be selling tickets through Nov 8th. I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend and we can't wait to see you all bright and early in the morning.

Good evening Pumpkin Center Intermediate this is Amy Thomas calling with updates for the week ahead. We are excited to announce that we surpassed our goal of 250 items for Western North Carolina. Thank you for your generous donations and showing your support. Just a reminder there will be no school for students on Monday and Tuesday. We are preparing and planning our Fall Festival that is scheduled for November 1st. We are asking for families to donate candy for prizes. You may send these items with your student. We hope you are enjoying your break and can't wait to see you on Wednesday.
What a fun Friday at PCIS! 3rd grade addition showdown was great with Ms.Bailey's class winning! 4th grade multiplication showdown was fast pace with Mrs. Causey's class on top! Thank you dance team for opening our car doors and thank you PCIS families for your donations to WNC. We had over 250 items donated, so Mrs. Burgin was on wheels and Mrs. Thomas had a 'fin'tastic day!

North Zone Hurricane Helene Relief

Lincoln County Schools will be closed for students Tuesday, October 1 due to power outages and damages from Hurricane Helene. Staff will operate on an optional workday; check your email for updates from your principal.

📢 Fan Code of Conduct at all Lincoln County Schools Home Football and Basketball Games 📢
All spectators ages eighth grade and younger MUST be accompanied by a legal guardian or responsible adult 21 years of age or older in order to enter and remain inside the stadium or gymnasium.
The legal guardian or accompanying adult will be responsible for the child’s supervision and actions at all times.
This Friday night is North Lincoln's first football game and they will play West Lincoln. It is also “Youth Knight” and both Pumpkin Center and Rock Springs’ elementary kids will get into the football game free of charge. Parents and older children do have to pay the $7 game entry fee. There will be a family tailgate party behind the home side stadium seating with live music, Tex-A-Lina BBQ and Kona Ice from 4-7pm, and the game starts at 7:30pm. Students who would like to, can help make a tunnel for the players. Be down at the track at the end of the HOME side stands around 7:00. Staff will bring them back to meet parents after the team runs out on the field. This should be a fun night for our students!
