**Students who ride bus 93 will be picked up significantly late this morning due to the bus breaking down in route. Students who have already been picked up by bus 93 will be transported to school by a substitute bus. Students who ride bus 93 will not be counted tardy. Students on bus 93 that attend LCST will need to report to the front office. Thank you for your understanding.

📚 History in the Making! 🏆

Huge congratulations to our Battle of the Books team for an incredible performance at the regional competition! Out of a field of fierce competitors, our students charged their way to 4th Place—the highest ranking in our school’s history!

To prepare, these dedicated readers tackled a list of 16 books, proving that hard work (and a lot of pages) truly pays off.

Not only are these students brilliant and dedicated, they're also some of the kindest and most fun students to be around. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments this year!

The ACT will be given on Tuesday, March 24th (not on Monday as previously sent by accident earlier today). We are sorry for any confusion. The junior class meeting to prepare for the ACT is on Friday at 11AM in the auditorium.

Thank you!

ACT Important Update Image
Dear Juniors,

A couple of important announcements:

1.) This Friday the Junior class will be meeting in the auditorium to get prepared for the ACT being that is being given on Monday. We will start promptly at 11AM.

2.) Last week, homeroom teachers passed out information about setting up your ACT account and general information about what to expect on the ACT. If you were not in Knightvision last Friday, you will need to pick up your information from Ms. Schanke in the front office. Remember that you only have up to 2 days after the test to submit your scores to 2 universities/institutions of your choice for free, so it is essential that your ACT account is up and running before test day.

Let Mr. Volk know if you have any questions.

History was made this past weekend at UNC-Asheville! Our very first Lincoln County robotics team took to the floor for their debut competition exceeding expectations for a rookie team!

Congrats to AJ P., Gavin B., Morgan L., Anton C. Gabe S., Mason V., Yogessh K., Connor S., Jonathan K., and Derek P. who attended the competition.

Despite being a new club, the Nano Knights overcame technical hurdles to rack up massive points, earning them a spot in a final match alliance and charging all the way to the Quarter Finals!

🏆 The Big Win
We are beyond proud to announce that the team brought home the Rookie All-Star Award, recognizing their outstanding performance, team spirit, and potential to build a successful program.

Huge thanks to Mentors Olivia Harvel, an engineer from Corning, and parents AJ Priola and BJ Burton for their technical expertise. Also the entire Burton and Priola families for their tireless support

Our Sponsors: A massive thank you to Kale Construction Supply, Corning, and Honeywell for investing in these bright minds.

Next Stop: UNC-Pembroke for our second competition on March 27–29.

The Big Goal: The team has earned an interview at the State level for a chance to advance to Worlds!

Congratulations to the team for representing Lincoln County and FIRST Robotics so well. Let’s keep that momentum going! 🤖✨

All Lincoln County students will hold in place at this time due to weather conditions.

Students currently at NLHS who are scheduled to leave campus should report to the Media Center.

Students at LCST will remain at LCST.

Students currently at home should remain there until the transition to 3rd period.

Additional communication will be sent if we need to extend this precaution.
