Mrs. Custer’s Foods 1 students took their dairy lesson from the farm to the kitchen!
The class began with a visit to Riverbend Creamery, where students got a behind-the-scenes look at the day-to-day life on a dairy farm. Students explored topics including A2-A2 protein, sustainability, animal care, pasteurization, bottling processes, and dairy industry regulations.
After learning where dairy products come from and what it takes to get them from the farm to our tables, students returned to NLHS and put their knowledge into action!
The result? Delicious Fettuccine Alfredo paired with garlic toast!
What a great way to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences and hands-on culinary skills!

Organized by the Mathematical Association of America, the AMC 12 is one of the world's premier high school mathematics competitions. Scoring well on this exam provides a direct pathway to qualify for the prestigious American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME).
Date: November 13 (after school)
Location: North Lincoln High School Rm 613
Format: 25 multiple-choice questions in 75 minutes (calculator inactive)
Cost: $6 (covers entry and packet order)
Limit: 30 persons Limit so sign up ASAP!

Attention Sophomores:
Tomorrow is the PreACT!! Be sure to check your email for PreACT information, including room assignments and acceptable calculators (if you chose to bring your own) for the math portion. Please remember:
1.) Cell phones and electronic devices are not allowed in the testing room. They will be left in your bookbag, which will be placed out in the hallway.
2.) Be on time....Testing will begin as close to 8:00AM as possible. If you are unsure of where to go for testing and you are in the 10th Grade, meet Mr. Volk down the 600 Hallway.
3.) Be sure to bring your charged, school-issued Chromebook with you to the testing room.
Get plenty of rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and we will see you in the morning!
