Yesterday was a proud day for our Wildcats! 🐾🎶
Thirteen of our very own took the stage with the LCS Middle School All County Choir after just five hours of rehearsal — alongside students they had never sung with before — and delivered an incredible performance to a packed house!
The dedication, talent, and teamwork it takes to prepare a challenging concert in that amount of time is truly impressive. 👏
We couldn’t be more proud of these students for representing our school so beautifully and for their phenomenal performance! 💙✨

We are so proud of our students who represented us at the Lincoln County Special Olympics bowling competition yesterday!
They showed determination, teamwork, and great sportsmanship with every roll down the lane. Most importantly, they had fun, encouraged one another, and reminded us all what perseverance looks like.
Way to go, athletes — you bowled us over with pride!

Our 8th grade scientists put their problem-solving skills to work during a hands-on hydrology lab — designing and building their own dams! Students explored how water moves through river systems and how people can manage it while still protecting the environment.
By testing, redesigning, and explaining their ideas with evidence, students discovered that managing water isn’t just about building structures — it’s about taking care of our planet.
Real-world science. Real-world thinking. 🌎💦

History has been a big focus at Lincolnton Middle School this week!
Our 6th grade students are wrapping up their unit on Ancient Egypt, learning about pharaohs, pyramids, religion, and what daily life was like long ago. They’ve also explored why this ancient civilization is still important today.
In 7th grade, students are beginning a new unit on the Russian Revolution. They are learning about the problems people faced, important leaders, and how these events led to major changes in Russia’s government and society.
Our 8th grade students are studying the events that led to the U.S. Civil War. They are examining disagreements between states, key events, and decisions that caused the nation to divide and changed the course of American history.
It’s been an engaging week of learning across all grade levels at LMS!
