Love Memorial was proudly represented at last night’s Board of Education meeting! Congratulations to our staff members who were recognized for their student-focused collaboration and our school’s growth. Your dedication, teamwork, and commitment to our students make a difference every day. We’re also so proud of our two outstanding fourth graders for leading the Pledge of Allegiance with confidence and pride. Way to represent our school, girls!

Being in school adds up! Missing just two days each month can put a student at risk of falling behind academically. Every day in the classroom is another opportunity to learn, grow, and connect. Be here. Keep learning. Keep moving forward. #BeHereLCS #BeHereLoveMemorial

Every great school day starts with a great team! This Labor Day, we’re celebrating our Morning Nutrition Team! These student leaders help our young learners get their breakfast, make sure they have everything they need, and help keep the cafeteria running smoothly each morning. Their kindness, responsibility, and willingness to serve others help create a calm, welcoming start to the day for everyone. We’re so proud of the difference they make before the first bell even rings! ❤️

Math was in the cards today!

Mrs. Burgess’ first graders had a blast putting their math skills to the test during a friendly card game competition! We loved watching them problem-solve, practice their skills, cheer each other on, and have FUN while learning!

Our student leaders help make each school day special from beginning to end! In the morning, they welcome students and staff with friendly smiles, and in the afternoon, they help keep dismissal running smoothly by opening car doors. These are just two of the many schoolwide leadership roles our students take on throughout the year. We’ll be sharing more leadership spotlights in the coming days and weeks, so stay tuned to meet more of the incredible students who help make our school such a great place to learn and grow!

Science got a little messy in Mrs. Parks’ class today! The students put their learning to the test by making oobleck during their States of Matter unit—and had a blast exploring its unique properties. Science fact of the day brought to you by 3rd graders: Oobleck is a non-Newtonian fluid, meaning it acts like a solid when pressure is applied but flows like a liquid when left alone!

Today in Mr. Stover's class, students learned about teamwork with a STEM challenge! Students teamed up to build the tallest index card tower they could, but there was a catch: to add a card to their tower, teammates first had to find something they had in common. Students discovered new connections while putting their problem-solving skills to the test!
