Drumroll, please… It’s time to recognize our Bus Riders of the Month! These students have gone above and beyond by showing respect, responsibility, and kindness while riding the bus. Thank you for helping make the ride to and from school safe and enjoyable for everyone! Congratulations to this month’s outstanding bus riders!

Yeehaw! 🤠 Our halls were filled with cowboys, cowgirls, and plenty of western flair today! From boots and bandanas to hats, plaid and camo our students and staff had a rootin’ tootin’ good time celebrating Western Day. We’d say this bunch was the best in the West!

🎃 Pumpkin Investigations in Kindergarten! Mrs. Nichols’ kindergarten scientists were busy making observations, exploring, and discovering what’s really inside a pumpkin! From scooping out the insides to examining and sorting the seeds, our Cardinals were using their curiosity and hands-on learning every step of the way. The best learning is sometimes a little messy! Curious minds + hands-on discoveries = learning that sticks!

Our students and staff tumbled out of bed and stumbled to school today for a little Dolly magic! In honor of 9/25, we celebrated with our very own 9 to 5 Dolly Day filled with fun, laughter, and plenty of pink, plaid, and personality. 💕

Today we said, “See you later,” to our very own Mrs. Gibson. ❤️ After 22 wonderful years at Love Memorial, today marked her final day in our library. While we are sad to see her go, we are so excited for her as she begins a new chapter. There were plenty of tears, warm hugs, and cherished memories today as Mrs. Gibson was celebrated with one final parade of many of her favorite students and staff members. Her kindness, dedication, and love for our students have left a lasting impact on our school, and she will always be a part of the Love Memorial family. We wish you all the best in this exciting new adventure. You will be greatly missed, Mrs. Gibson! 💙

We have wrapped up Round 1 of The Great Artist Showdown. Artists Frida Kahlo, Herni Matisse, Jackson Pollock, Roy Lichtenstein, Vincent Van Gogh, Edvard Munch, Pablo Picasso, and Keith Haring have been eliminated by their competition. Round 2 line-up includes: Leonardo Da Vinci vs. Romare Bearden Jean Michel Basquiat vs. M.C. Escher Georgia O'Keeffe vs. Salvador Dali Gustav Klimt vs. Romero Britto Who will make it to Round 3? Who will take the title and win it all?

YMCA School’s Out Camp and Before & Afterschool Programs.
Our next School’s Out Camp will be held on Monday, October 12. School’s Out Camp provides families with a safe, engaging, and convenient option for childcare while school is out, allowing parents and guardians the opportunity to continue working without having to arrange alternate childcare.

School’s Out Camp Details:

Hours: 7:00 AM–6:00 PM

Available during Fall Break, Winter Break, and other scheduled school closures

Registration closes 3 days prior to the start of camp, so families are encouraged to register early. Registration is open for October 12.

Please note the following registration locations for families for Before and Afterschool only:

Love Memorial Elementary: Families should register for S. Ray Lowder Elementary.

Thank you to our amazing PTO for treating our staff to a delicious breakfast and much-needed coffee this morning! We are so grateful for your generosity and support!

Hard hats on—it’s time to build! Students in Mrs. Grant's room transformed into construction crews as they built fact family houses, laying a strong foundation for math success one fact family at a time. Great job, builders!

Teamwork makes the dream work! Students had a blast practicing coordination and teamwork during a cup stacking challenge in PE.

Don’t forget! No school for students tomorrow as we will be having Parent-Teacher Conferences! We look forward to partnering with our Love Memorial families as we continue growing our students together!
