A BIG Congratulations to Senior LJ Forney who will continue his education and football career at Presbyterian University for receiving the McDonald's/KTC scholar athlete of the year award. LJ has maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout his ELHS years taking all upper level classes. Big thanks to Coach Lubowicz for doing the paperwork and nominating LJ. We are very proud of LJ for not only his work on the field but also in the classroom. During LJ's years he has not only participated in football but also basketball, indoor track, swimming, outdoor track and a member of multiple clubs. Way to go young man, well deserved!!

Congratulations to our JV boys volleyball team for securing their first win against Christ the King!

20 Mustangs participated in the LCS Job Shadowing Program in February 2025. They observed educators, nurses, physical therapists, Hairstylists, Firefighers, EMT, speech therapists, and in the Agriculutre and Industiral Electronics fields. Special thanks to all companies that allowed our students to continue their Career Exploration and gain some workbased learning experience!

Sorry for the delay but due to sicknesses and weather we are late getting this out, our final winter sports athletes of the week, big congrats to Sidney and Christian, well deserved. We will start recognizing spring sports next week, GO MUSTANGS

ELHS DECA chapter did very well at the State Career Development Conference last week! They were dressed to impress and 22 students competed with proficency! 12 received medals and 10 finished up as finalists! Molly Matz & Brooklyn Miller receiving the coveted DECA Glass! Maddie Matz was a finalist and Alternate. The finalists & alternates have qualified for Internationals in Orlando this April.
Our ELHS chapter also won a Chapter of Distinction award , NC DECA Foundation Supporting Chapter award, and a Champion Chapter as a Thrive level Chapter Campaigns awards. A Big Shout Out to Begert for also receiving his 15 year DECA adviser pin!
