Fresh vegetables and other garden delights are now available for purchase through the school. If you would like to support our students and enjoy locally grown produce, please call the school Monday through Thursday between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM for availability and purchasing information.
Every purchase helps our students continue learning through hands-on experiences. Proceeds from the garden sales will be reinvested into improving our greenhouse and expanding future gardening projects, providing even more opportunities for students to develop responsibility, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and an appreciation for where our food comes from.
Thank you for supporting the hard work of our students and helping the Asbury Roots program continue to grow.
Asbury Academy celebrated the resilience, dedication, and hard work of its newest alumni during the annual graduation ceremony.
A total of 24 graduates crossed the stage, representing a diverse group of determined individuals. This exceptional class includes students who balanced traditional academic pathways alongside those who successfully completed the SAVE program outside of school hours, demonstrating an outstanding commitment to their futures.
Every single one of these graduates has overcome unique challenges to reach this milestone. The faculty, staff, and entire community could not be prouder of their perseverance.
Congratulations to the Asbury Academy Class of 2026. Your hard work has paid off, and the next chapter begins today.

History was made today at Asbury Academy.
Logan Robbins has officially become the first student in the academy's history to ever be awarded a college scholarship. Today, the Denver Rotary Club presented Logan with a 1,000 dollar scholarship to help support his upcoming college expenses, including tuition and textbooks.
We are incredibly proud of Logan for his hard work and dedication. Please join us in congratulating him as he takes this exciting next step. We cannot wait to watch his future unfold.

The pressure might be on, but our Asbury Academy students are staying focussed!
End-of-year state testing is right around the corner, and our halls are buzzing with hard work and determination. To keep the mood light and the energy high, Mr. Turbo made his rounds today in a full lobster suit to check in on everyone’s progress!
It’s definitely not your average day at school, but it’s a great reminder that even when we're working hard, we can still have a little fun. Our students are proving to be absolute lob-stars as they tackle their final prep!
Keep pushing, Asbury! You’ve got this hook, line, and sinker.

The festivities included a special visit from the Monster Ice Cream truck, where students enjoyed a variety of treats. Even with the rain, the energy remained high as we held a basketball game between the students and staff. We are grateful for the support of the community as we celebrate our Asbury Pirates!

Today at Asbury Academy, our students demonstrated the true meaning of civic duty by partnering with the City of Lincolnton Fire Department for a vital community service project. Working alongside local firefighters, the students inspected and repainted seven fire hydrants throughout our school neighborhood to ensure they remain highly visible and functional for emergency responders. This initiative not only beautifies our local streets but also plays a critical role in keeping our community safe and protected, and we are incredibly proud of our students for lending their time and energy to such a meaningful cause.

Driven by a student-led initiative, the team developed and executed a free book fair specifically for beginning teachers within Lincoln County Schools. The project was the culmination of months of hard work, during which students collected book donations and meticulously sorted them by grade and Lexile level to ensure teachers could find exactly what they needed for their students.
Beyond providing literature, the students also curated teacher supply goodie bags to help these new professionals stock their classrooms.
A Celebration of Service
The project concluded on Thursday with an event celebrating our local beginning teachers. Educators were invited to browse the collection and take as many books as necessary to build robust, diverse classroom libraries at no cost.
Community Partnerships
This initiative was made possible through the collaboration of the student team and generous local partners. We would like to extend a sincere thank you to:
The ARC (Asbury Resource Center) for the generous supply donations.
Marilyn's Sweet Addiction Bakery for donating the celebration cake.
We are incredibly proud of these students for their leadership, organization, and commitment to supporting the education of others.

Big opportunities are coming to Asbury Works!
This week, our students enjoyed a special presentation from Joy Morrow regarding Gaston College’s Apprenticeship 321 program.
It was an eye-opening session where students learned how they can jumpstart their careers with:
FREE college tuition
Paid apprenticeship positions
Hands-on experience with major local industries like Aptar, Bosch, Mann & Hummel, and many more!
We love seeing our students explore pathways that lead directly to high-skill, high-wage careers right here in our community. Thank you, Joy Morrow and Gaston College, for sharing these life-changing opportunities with us!

It’s been incredible to watch the progress, and we can't wait to see what they grow next! Be sure to swipe through to see some of the action in the garden.

The Sherrills Ford-Dry Pond Rotary is an exceptional community partner that constantly supports our school in so many meaningful ways. From providing delicious meals to fostering a supportive environment for our "Asbury Pirates," their dedication to our students' success and well-being is truly inspiring.
It was a joy to see our school family come together to celebrate, and we cannot thank the Rotary members enough for their kindness and ongoing commitment to our mission. Partnerships like this are what make our community so strong!

This was an incredible opportunity for our students to explore high-demand technical careers through state-of-the-art simulators. From heavy equipment operation and commercial driving to plumbing and welding, our crew got a front-row seat to the skills that power our economy.
At Asbury Academy, we are committed to showing our students that there are many different paths to a successful and fulfilling career. Seeing them engage with these trade professions helps bridge the gap between their high school credits and their future goals.
A huge thank you to the Be Pro Be Proud NC team for bringing these career possibilities to life and helping our students see the "pro" they can become!

It is National Assistant Principal Week, and we are setting sail to celebrate our very own "School Treasure," Mrs. Hoyle!
Mrs. Hoyle works incredibly hard every day to lead our crew at Asbury Academy. Whether she is helping students stay on track for graduation or supporting our teachers and staff, her dedication is the compass that keeps us moving in the right direction. We are so lucky to have such a creative, supportive, and hardworking leader at the helm of our school.
Thank you, Mrs. Hoyle, for all you do to make Asbury Academy a place where every student can succeed!
Why we appreciate Mrs. Hoyle:
Leadership: Guiding our students and staff with a smile.
Dedication: Putting in the work to ensure Asbury Academy is the best it can be.
Spirit: Bringing a fun and energetic "Pirate" pride to our campus every single day.

It was a true team effort as our students and staff joined forces to beautify the campus, and the results are truly blooming! Everyone worked hard, from prepping the soil to planting, showing what we can achieve together. Check out the "before and after" of their dedicated work in this collage!

Our Asbury Academy students traded the classroom for the factory floor this week with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Timken Lincolnton Bearing Plant!
From the moment we hopped on the bus, the excitement was high. The day started with an engaging deep dive into how Timken’s world-class engineered bearings power everything from renewable energy to space exploration.
The Highlight Reel:
Safety First: We geared up with safety glasses and earplugs to head deep into the manufacturing zone.
Real-World Engineering: Students saw massive machinery in action and learned about the precision required to keep the world moving.
Career Connections: We met with the incredible Timken team to discuss local career paths, from skilled trades and CNC machining to mechanical engineering and leadership.
A huge thank you to the staff at Timken for opening your doors and inspiring the next generation of problem solvers. It’s amazing to see the global impact happening right here in our own backyard!
