Congratulations to School Counselor Emily Costa and Pumpkin Center Primary School for earning the distinguished RAMP® designation! 🎉
The Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP®) designation honors schools committed to delivering comprehensive, data-driven school counseling programs that support student success. Emily’s dedication to this process has strengthened the support for students at Pumpkin Center Primary, ensuring they thrive both academically and personally.
Emily shared, "The RAMP process has been both a personally and professionally rewarding journey for me. It’s given me the opportunity to reflect on my practices, enhance the support I provide, and develop a more intentional, structured approach to helping my students. Through this process, I’ve been able to better meet their needs, ensuring they not only succeed academically but grow as individuals ready to face life’s challenges. I’m incredibly honored to receive this recognition on behalf of my school, and to bring recognition to the school counselors in Lincoln County."
Principal Kristen Reynolds added, “ I am proud of Mrs. Costa's commitment to not only supporting our students in academics, but also supporting their mental and emotional growth and this recognition exemplifies that commitment.”
This achievement highlights the incredible impact of school counselors in Lincoln County. Congratulations, Emily and Pumpkin Center Primary!

World Read Aloud Day
February 5, 2025
Reading aloud at home and at school is one of the best ways to help children develop literacy skills. According to research by the University of Melbourne, reading aloud to children daily puts them almost a year ahead of children who do not receive daily read-alouds. This is true regardless of income, education level or cultural background.
