We’re excited to announce the United We Glow 5K hosted by our Young Lincoln Leaders!
This glowing community event will take place on May 2, 2025 at Betty G Ross Park and is open to all ages. It includes:
A Children’s Fun Run at 7:00 PM
The official 5K starting at 7:30 PM
🎉 Proceeds from the event will go directly to United Way, which continues to pour time, resources, and care into our Lincolnton community every day.
In addition to being a fun and meaningful community event, the United We Glow 5K also serves as the final impact project for this year’s Young Lincoln Leaders (YLL). This event is completely student-led, planned, and organized by members of the YLL program as a way to apply the leadership skills they’ve developed throughout the year and give back to the community in a purposeful way.
The Young Lincoln Leaders are a group of exceptional students representing all four district high schools. Throughout the year, they participate in leadership development, engage in community service, and collaborate on projects that promote civic engagement and positive change. This 5K is a culmination of their work—designed to benefit United Way and bring our community together in a glowing celebration of service and student leadership.
