We are proud to have hosted our 3rd Annual Employability Bowl, featuring select students from each of our high schools. This year’s event highlighted engaging Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) that help students explore post-secondary options, develop job-seeking skills, strengthen financial literacy, and practice effective workplace communication and customer service.
Students also took part in hands-on job simulations in the fields of animal care, food service, grocery, retail, and manufacturing — gaining real-world experience in a supportive, fun environment.

Governor Josh Stein has officially proclaimed November as Career Development Month and Career Development Coordinator Day on November 19 — a time to celebrate the incredible educators who help our students discover their strengths, passions, and career pathways.
🎓 Meet Jennifer Luper – Lincolnton High School
Jennifer finds joy in helping students uncover what excites them most and connecting those interests to real-world opportunities. From internships and job shadowing to field trips and pre-apprenticeship programs, she loves watching students engage with the many career experiences our community offers.

Chalee attended Love Memorial, West Lincoln Middle, and West Lincoln High. She remembers having many wonderful teachers, but especially credits Mr. Dale Finger, her 4th-grade teacher, for inspiring her path to education. Not only was she his student, but he also gave her the opportunity to be a Teacher Cadet in his classroom during high school — the moment she knew she was called to teach. 🍎
Now, Mrs. Chance serves as an EC teacher at East Lincoln Middle School. She has also taught at Battleground and North Lincoln Middle, continuing her passion for supporting students across the county.
