Pamela says she was blessed to have many “favorite” teachers who made her feel seen, heard, and important — something she strives to do for her own students every day.

🔬🩸 In Mrs. Grooms’ PLTW Principles of Biomedical Sciences class at LCST, students have stepped into the role of biomedical investigators!

Over the next several weeks, they’ll work together as a team of forensic specialists to:
🕵️‍♂️ Analyze a simulated crime scene
🧬 Examine DNA samples
🩸 Study blood spatter patterns
📄 Review interviews, evidence, and an autopsy report

Their mission? To piece together the evidence and determine the cause and manner of death.

This hands-on project pushes students to think critically, apply biomedical concepts, and solve problems like real-world professionals. 👩‍⚕️👨‍🔬

🚛✨ Volunteers Needed for LCS MIDDLE SCHOOL Careers on Wheels! ✨🚛

🚛✨ Lincoln County Schools is rolling out the wheels for our annual Careers on Wheels mobile career fair at East Lincoln Middle, North Lincoln Middle, Lincolnton Middle, and West Lincoln Middle School!

This exciting event gives all 4th and 7th-graders across LCS the chance to explore career pathways, ask questions, and even check out real work vehicles.

We’re looking for community volunteers who are willing to invest their time, talent, and vehicles—whether at all four schools or just the ones that fit your schedule. Help us inspire the next generation!

Students Visit: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Wrap-Up: 1:00 PM

Inspired by her favorite teacher, Mrs. Huffman, who made a lasting impact during her middle school years, Mrs. Richardson chose to give back to the district and community that shaped her. LCS NAMES NEW ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

At the LCS Board Meeting on August 12, 2025, the Lincoln County Board of Education approved the Superintendent’s recommendation of a new Assistant Principal at East Lincoln Middle School.

Lincoln County Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Lynn Jennings as Assistant Principal of East Lincoln Middle School. Mrs. Jennings joins LCS from Gaston County Schools, where she currently serves as an English Language Arts teacher at Kennedy Middle School. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Charter Oak State College and a Master of Education degree from Gardner-Webb University. Passionate about education and community service, Mrs. Jennings is dedicated to ensuring that every student feels valued, supported, and challenged. She shares, “I believe every student deserves to feel seen, supported, and challenged. I am committed to creating an environment where each learner can thrive academically and personally.” Outside of school, Mrs. Jennings enjoys spending time with her family as a proud mother of three and grandmother of three—all under the age of three. Mrs. Jennings will officially begin her new role on September 16, 2025, succeeding Mrs. Nichole Carontini, who resigned in July 2025.
