Why don’t students ever get lost at school?
Because good attendance keeps them on the right path! 🗺️🎒

💙 A huge thank you to the Lincoln County Public Education Foundation (LCPEF) for supporting innovation at North Lincoln High School through grant funding!

Here are some pictures featuring just a few of our awesome grant items in action:
✨ iPads & portable screens – used by teachers during station rotation learning and even this week during our Leader in Me training so all staff could easily follow the presenter’s screen.
✨ White boards – supporting collaborative projects and planning, like an English class structuring arguments in a graphic organizer on one side and writing constructed responses on the other.
✨ Portable screens – just this morning, AP Seminar students used them to rehearse their upcoming presentation on the Holocaust.

Students and teachers alike have benefited from these resources, and we are so grateful for LCPEF’s investment in our classrooms. 📚🙌

From student to teacher, Mrs. Taylor Doss Baker’s journey has come full circle at Rock Springs Elementary! 🏫🍎

Taylor attended Rock Springs Elementary, North Middle, and North High. Inspired by her Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Anderson, she pursued education and never looked back. Today, she teaches EC at Rock Springs, where her love for learning first began. 💡

When asked what she loves most about her job, Mrs. Baker shared:
💬 “I love being able to foster confidence in students by providing them with personalized support and partnering with families. I LOVE celebrating their successes, big or small!”

We are so proud to spotlight another LCS graduate making an impact in our schools. 💙 #WeAreLINCOLN

📅✈️ Plan Vacations Wisely!
Every school day counts—for learning, for friendships, and for your child’s future. When students miss school for vacations during the year, they miss important lessons and connections that can’t be replaced.

✅ Please plan family trips during school breaks.
✅ Help your child build strong attendance habits.
✅ Remember: missing just a few days can add up quickly!

Let’s work together to keep our students learning, growing, and present every day. 💙🍎 #WeAreLINCOLN #AttendanceMatters

📣 Congratulations to Ms. Hammonds at Battleground Elementary—an LCPEF Grant Winner! 🎉

Thanks to this grant, every teacher at Battleground received a Qball Plus microphone and speaker. Teachers also participated in professional development during their opening staff meeting to learn the best ways to use this powerful resource.

🎤 These microphones aren’t just for teachers—they give students a voice, too! From boosting confidence during class discussions to keeping every learner engaged, the Qball system is helping make lessons more interactive and exciting across the school. 💡✨

🚀 Our Young Lincoln Leaders (YLL) kicked off the year in style on 9/18 at LCST! 🙌

YLL is all about making a real IMPACT in Lincoln County through ACTION. High school students from East, North, Lincolnton, and West, sponsored by Chick-fil-A’s Leader Academy, are coming together to lead change.

At the kickoff, students bonded, embraced the “We are Lincoln” spirit, and took on a fun (and sometimes wild!) icebreaker—jelly bean tasting with some questionable flavors. 😜

They wrapped up the day by brainstorming ideas for this year’s Impact Project. Big things are coming—stay tuned! 🔥 #YLL #LincolnCountyLeaders #ImpactThroughAction
