With the support of local business sponsors, our Emerging Leaders students will place a flag for each honoree in a designated area on school grounds beginning November 9. The display will remain in place for one to two weeks as a visible reminder of our gratitude and appreciation for the Veterans in our families, school, and community.
Through this project, we hope to bring our school together in recognizing the sacrifices and service of those who have defended our freedom. Please click here to complete a form for a veteran you may know! https://bit.ly/4kbo0jp

Happy Principal's Month to our fearless leader, Mr. Beane! We know your days are hectic and nonstop, but you always try to keep the overall vision of WLMS in your mind as you tackle the small and large tasks. You also respond with care and empathy to everyone who crosses your path. No easy feat! Thanks for everything you do for us. #ThankAPrincipal #NationalPrincipalsMonth

Congratulations to Lacy Morehead who is our October Staff Member of the Month! After 17 years in education, 10 years serving in Lincoln County Schools, and 9 years at West Lincoln Middle School, she continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of our students.
Serving students in 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade EC, they embody what it means to be a Chief Nation educator, someone who believes that every child deserves someone in their corner. Their commitment goes far beyond academics. They help students build confidence, find their voice, recognize their potential, and learn to advocate for themselves.
Their greatest goal is simple but powerful: every student leaves their classroom knowing they are capable, valued, believed in, and loved.

Our Lady Chiefs beat R-S Middle 11 to 3!!
After falling down 2-0 in the first inning, our ladies fought back to a 5-2 lead at the end of the second inning and never looked back. These ladies showed class in victory and demonstrated all five core values: Character, Honor, Integrity, Excellence, and Fearlessness. Congratulations! We are proud of you.

Now, the real madness (and magic) has begun. Hands-on with the VEX IQ 2nd Generation kits, these middle schoolers are transforming plastic gears, pins, and motors into custom-built machines. The room and halls are buzzing as students flex their creativity, showing off unique builds that combine pure imagination with real-world "Science" and "Math".
Students are currently testing their "Computer Science" skills with Block Coding the Robot Brains: Programming motors and sensors to bring these creations to life. We're "gearing" up for Classroom Competitions: Testing their bots in castle crashing and obstacle challenges. Watching these students turn abstract STEM concepts into moving, functioning robots proves one thing: the future is bright, and it’s being built right here at WLMS.

The girls' team brought home third place overall. Piper Hood led the way for the girls, followed by Aleah Curtis, Ansley Gee, Gracie Clark, and Abi Creech.
The boys' team placed sixth overall out of 12 teams. Luke Yoder paced the boys, with Gabe Brown, Tyler Wehunt, Kayden Lynch, and Braelin Lynn rounding out the scoring runners.
Congratulations to all of our runners on a great finish to the conference season!
