🏆 The Wells Fargo State Cup recognizes the top overall high school athletic programs in North Carolina. Presented annually by the NCHSAA and Wells Fargo, the award honors schools that demonstrate excellence across all sanctioned sports throughout the year. Schools earn points based on state championship finishes and playoff participation, with the highest-scoring programs in each classification receiving the prestigious State Cup, a silver trophy, and a commemorative banner.
