As a Leader in Me school, we use the 7 Habits to help our students grow both in and out of the classroom. These habits give our students a shared language and practical tools to build confidence, take ownership of their learning, and support one another.

Here is how the 7 Habits make a difference in our school community:

  • Habit 1: Be Proactive – Students learn to take initiative, make positive choices, and take responsibility for their actions.

  • Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind – Kids set meaningful academic and personal goals, learning how to plan ahead for success.

  • Habit 3: Put First Things First – Students practice time management by prioritizing schoolwork and responsibilities before play.

  • Habit 4: Think Win-Win – Encourages a cooperative mindset where students look for solutions that benefit everyone.

  • Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood – Teaches active listening and empathy, helping kids build stronger friendships.

  • Habit 6: Synergize – Students learn that working together and valuing different strengths achieves better results than working alone.

  • Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw – Reminds students to keep their mind, body, heart, and spirit balanced and healthy.

By practicing these habits daily, our students aren't just achieving academic goals—they are developing life skills to become confident, thoughtful leaders!
