5th graders were hard at work on the early release day. Students worked together to figure out how to determine volume of figures. Students tried to sort between scenarios about weather and climate. It was great hearing the discussion and thinking process by the students.

Mrs. Beard and Mrs. Cutter started a crocheting club. The students are off to a great start.

Fourth grade visited the Schiele Museum where they studied how the settlement of people from various cultures affected the development of regions in North Carolina (languages, foods, traditions). They were able to investigate how animals have adapted to their environments: external structures (fur, claws, beaks), senses, behavior (migration, hibernation, seeking shelter) that help survival.

First grade students are working on character/setting and beginning/ middle/ end with their Boo sheet, practiced adding three addends, an iReady interactive practice lesson to focus on friends of 10, and teacher table activities to focus on different skills.

Today our administrators took Mrs. Link's class outside for lunch and playtime. This was for having the most participation after the first couple days of Fun Run collections.







Our first All Pro Dads was such a successful event. Thank you for all those who were able to make it. Thank you to our cafeteria staff, Mr. Bean, Mrs. Engel, and Mrs. Munday for making this event so smooth.
