Business and Community Partners at S. Ray Lowder Elementary School

S. Ray Lowder Elementary School has partnered with CHS-Lincoln for over two decades. On Tuesday, Tuesday, August 22, Mr. Carpenter principal of S. Ray Lowder was invited to the CHS-Lincoln's, "Tuesday Huddle," to speak and provide gratitude for the partnership with the school.  CHS-Lincoln has been an active partner with S.Ray Lowder providing lunch for staff members on their first day back for years.  Also, they have purchased a new sofa for the lobby for our parents to sit on while waiting on conferences or waiting to eat lunch with their students.  At Christmas, CHS-Lincoln provides every student a book and their staff comes to our school and reads to all classes.

CHS-Lincoln has conducted a school supply drive each year.  This year's supply drive was the most successful ever. The hospital has also created a clothes closet on site here at S.Ray Lowder. The students and staff are so thankful for CHS-Lincoln and their community involvement.

S. Ray Lowder is in its second year of partnering with First Baptist Church-Lincolnton.  The church has provided a school supply drive this year.  Also, FBC-Lincolnton provided a Prayer Walk for our school on Wednesday, August 23.  The church has also contributed approximately $400.00 in new media center books.  This past year, FBC-Lincolnton sponsored field day at the school. Ministers and folks of the congregation came to S. Ray Lowder and set up and manned all of the events. FBC-Lincolnton provides many reading buddies that work with the students each week.  Also, they will be sending over lunch buddies as well this year.

S. Ray Lowder Elementary School’s business and community partners make a difference for students and staff. Thank you to everyone who contributes to our schools.
