I am originally from just outside Elkin, NC, but have lived here in Lincolnton for the past 26 years.  I graduated from Wake Forest University with a B.A. in History in 1992 and became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2008 and renewed my NBCT status in 2018. This is my 27th year of teaching, all at Lincolnton Middle School. My wife is the principal at East Lincoln Middle School, and we have a daughter, Abigail, that is in the 11th grade  at LHS. In my spare time, I enjoy watching sports, reading, and grilling and smoking food.
