Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Rachel H. Frye

A native of Lincoln County, Mrs. Rachel H. Frye joined the Mustang family in the fall of 2003. She primarily teaches all levels of Freshmen and Sophomore English, but her passion for her alma mater, East Lincoln, led her to reimagine a Leadership program, which helps to promote school spirit and camaraderie at the Student, Staff, and Community level. In addition, in 2015-2016, Mrs. Frye reintroduced the NC Teacher Cadet program, enabling interested students to have a "hands on" experience as potential classroom teachers. Mrs. Frye earned her BA in Secondary English Education from NC State University in 2002 and her National Board Certification in 2010. Mrs. Frye serves as the director for the award-winning, Cheval Color and Winter Guards, operated under the East Lincoln Bands family. Around graduation time, Mrs. Frye coordinates the Junior Marshals for the Junior class.

Mrs. Frye is at home in Denver, NC with her husband, Scott, daughters, Sarah and Hensleigh, and son Henry. During the summer, they LOVE the lake, traveling, and all things Disney.

Mrs. Frye welcomes email at, as well as voicemail at 704.736.1860 ext. 26214. She can be available for conferencing after school hours on most Tuesday-Thursday afternoons.
