Chip Ashley

Coach Ashley is in his 31st year with the Mustang teaching staff.  He currently teaches Sports Medicine, Team Sports, and Lifetime Sports.  
 
During his tenure, he has coached Boys' and Girls' Varsity Basketball, JV Boys' Basketball, Boys' and Girls' Track, JV and Varsity Football, JV Baseball, Boys' and Girls' Golf, Girls' Tennis, and Boys' and Girls' Cross Country. He is presently the Associate Head Men's Basketball Coach.
 
Coach Ashley attended Belton-Honea Path High School in Honea Path, SC where he played Varsity Football, Basketball, and Baseball.  He attended Erskine College in Due West, SC on a baseball scholarship and graduated with a BS Degree in Health/Physical Education in 1987.  He received his Masters Degree in Sports Science and Pedagogy from Gardner-Webb University in 2003 and in 2012 became a member of the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards in High School Physical Education.  In 2017 he was named to the Lincoln County Sports Hall of Fame.

Coach Ashley lives in Denver area with his wife, Michelle, and they have four children: Christian, Courtney, Cassidy, and Connor who all participated in sports, clubs, and academics while at East Lincoln.  In his spare time, Coach Ashley enjoys reading, spending time with his family, and playing USTA Team Tennis.
