Mrs. Faulkenberry

~As an educator facing the challenges of 2021-22, I have a new perspective and approach to teaching art to students. I desire for entire classes of students to experience the benefits of art. I have a much stronger dedication to the wellness of my students. The constant in all of our lives throughout history has been the need for self-expression. In the classroom, students learn to apply strategies and techniques, both visually and verbally, for means of self-expression. My goal is to also create a sense of community so that the classroom is a reprieve from the chaos of the world. Learning new skills and experimenting with art materials and methods have an exemplary positive effect on students.  Together, we will explore art, increase our methods of communication, consideration, self-confidence, growth mindset, and overall well-being.
