Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Jennifer Faulkenberry
~As an educator facing the challenges of 2020 I have a new perspective on my theory teaching art to students. I have no desire to win art shows or competitions. No dreams of creating galleries full of perfect art that only a few students are capable of making. I desire for entire classes of students to experience it is not about the end product anymore. It is about experiences. The exhilarating emotions and playful acts of experimenting with art materials and methods. Everyone can learn how to be creative and create. My philosophy of teaching is for all my students to share in art-making, mistake-making, and risk-taking. Our struggles help us to define who we are and are at the root of authentic art-making. I am bursting with excitement to share everything I know with my students. All students creating “their own style of art” is where the magic is.
