My name is Ron Patten and I have taught at West Lincoln High since 2005. 

I graduated from NCState with a BS in Applied Mathematics and a Masters in Statistics, then became an actuarial consultant as a retirement benefit plans specialist for Fortune 500 companies in Atlanta, GA. Decided to have a career change after 9 years to spend more time with my family. As a result, I now teach math at a wonderful high school and our family has a small farm. I have 2 wonderful children, a daughter who is in Vet School at NCState and a son who is a senior in Mechanical Engineering at NCState, and a beautiful wife. For fun, I like to read, play tennis, travel, bike, eating awesome meals prepared by my wife, watch my children play sports and cheer for the Wolfpack and Carolina Panthers.
