    Scott H. Carpenter--Principal

Welcome to S. Ray Lowder Elementary School for the 2019-20 school year!  We are very proud of our past and excited about our future.  S. Ray Lowder Elementary School is named after S. Ray Lowder a former Superintendent for Lincolnton City Schools.  Mr. Lowder was a very well respected educator across the state of North Carolina.  In fact, there is a scholarship in his name for seniors in high school to apply for to receive scholarships for higher education.

    S. Ray Lowder Elementary School is located in the Crestview neighborhood at 350 Kennedy Drive in Lincolnton. Our school is Pre-K-5th grade. S. Ray Lowder has been recognized by the North Carolina Department of Instruction as a “Model PBIS School.  Our motto is “Committed to Excellence.”  We are also very fortunate to have a staff and community that work together to make our motto a reality.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns about our school please contact me here at school.

I grew up in Lincolnton and attended South Aspen, Oaklawn, S. Ray Lowder, Lincolnton Junior High and a proud graduate of Lincolnton High School.  “Once a wolf, always a wolf!
