Hello! My name is Emily McGraw and I am so excited to be teaching 2nd grade this year! 

I graduated from UNC Charlotte with my Graduate Certificate in Elementary Education in 2019. While in school, I worked as a third grade teacher assistant. I have taught in fifth grade and first grade classrooms since graduating.

I was born and raised in Charlotte, NC and currently live in Stanley, NC with my husband, Jared, our 2-year-old son, Landon, our cat, Belle, and our dog, Luna. In our free time, we love spending time with our family having cookouts, playing outside, and making memories. I love to read and have been teaching my son to love books as well.

As an elementary school teacher, I believe in instilling a love of learning in all students. With hands-on activities, classroom discussions, and some humor, I hope to encourage my students to think creatively, critically, and explore their natural curiosity.
