I grew up in Charlotte and graduated from East Mecklenburg High School. I graduated from University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. My love for environmental science and biology started in my high school AP course and continued to grow at UNCW. I am currently getting my Master's Degree in Forensics Science. I am from a family of science teachers and learned that the best way to pass on the love of science is to teach it. This is my 8th year teaching high school and I have two spoiled rotten huskies name Luna and Lexi.
