My name is Laura Minick, and I am so very happy to teach one of my most favorite things in the world at both Union Elementary School (Fall Semester) and North Brook Elementary School (Spring Semester) this year.  I'll be teaching music, music, and more music!

 

A little bit about me:

I grew up in a small town in the southwestern part of Virginia named Castlewood.  I graduated from Castlewood High School, then attended Radford University in Radford, Virginia.  After completing a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education (certified K-12), I earned my Graduate Degree serving as a Graduate Assistant from Radford University as well.  That degree is a Masters of Arts Degree in Choral Conducting. After teaching high school chorus, elementary chorus, and also elementary general music in Virginia, I moved to North Carolina. While living in North Carolina, I have taught in Wake and Harnett Counties.  For all of my life I have been very involved in church music, and have spent many years coaching and adjudicating high school marching band drum majors.  I teach private piano and voice lessons to students of all ages.
