I am from Wisconsin, but we moved here to North Carolina a couple of years ago.  We have a daughter who lives in Wisconsin and works in the medical field, and a son who is a senior at DePaul University in Chicago. We have a sweet, frisbee-obsessed doodle, Chloe.

     I did my undergraduate work in Spanish, Education and ESL at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, and I continued my studies there to get my MS in Curriculum and Instruction.  I have been fortunate to have the chance to study in Mexico, Chile, Ecuador and Costa Rica, so I love the chance to speak Spanish with students and families.  My husband is from Brazil, so I have been able to learn some Portuguese, as well. 

     I have taught EL for more than 17 years.  During that time, I have had the privilege of working with many different students at all different grade levels, from kindergarten through community college.  I love working with EL students because I continue to learn through them every single day.

     I am certified to teach yoga and group fitness, and enjoy different kinds of movement.  I am happy to be here at Lincolnton Middle School!  My planning time is everyday from 10:00-10:40.
