Commander Mark Smith, USN, is our WLHS Senior Naval Science Instructor. Currently, he serves as the commanding officer for the Navy Talent Acquisition Group Carolina. Commander Smith has studied at The University of North Carolina, and Marshall University. He holds a B.S. Degree in Biology; and an MA in leadership Studies and is also a graduate of The United States Air Force Command and Staff College at Maxwell Air Force Base Alabama where he completed joint professional military education phase I. He is PHR certified and is a Navy small arms instructor (SAMI) as well as a qualified Navy security force officer (NSFO).
