Hi! My name is Coral Arant. I am thrilled to be a part of the St. James family and feel privileged to have the opportunity to get to know and teach your child this year. I have a total of 16 years teaching experience (1998-2013,2022-23), but had a change in career between 2013 and 2021 when my family moved from South Carolina to Michigan. During those 8 years, I was a stay-at-home mom to my children Elijah (20), Leah (15), and Micah (9). My oldest, Elijah, graduated from East Lincoln High as Senior Class President in 2022 and in is now in his second year at Appalachian State majoring in math. My daughter, Leah, will be a sophomore this year at East Lincoln, and my youngest, Micah, will be a fourth grader here at St. James. We moved to Denver, NC in July of 2017.

I graduated from Northwestern State University in Natchotoiches, Louisiana in 1997 with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and I have a Master's in Elementary Education with a concentration in Literacy from UNC Charlotte. I have had the opportunity to teach all grade levels except Kindergarten and have spent most of my time in 3rd and 4th grades. 

I am so excited about beginning this 2023-2024 school year with you and your children. I am very approachable and want you and your children to feel comfortable coming to me with any questions, comments, or concerns. Your children are why I'm here!
