Hey ya'll! I am Mrs. Hunter Garcia and I will be teaching Fifth Grade this year!

This will be my second year teaching fifth grade here at Battleground Elementary! I graduated from Appalachian State University with a bachelors in Elementary Education and returned to my hometown to teach!

I enjoy reading a good book, spending time in a garden, coffee, hiking, and anything to do with my family! I am married and have a "pet" family, with my two cats and two dogs! I was born and raised in Lincoln County and am so thrilled to be giving back to my community through teaching!

My teaching belief is: Every day is a new day, and a new opportunity to show someone what kindness means.
