Mrs. Tonia

Hello everyone, my name is Tonia Crane and I am very excited to be the Pre-K teacher at Iron Station Elementary. Although this is my third year teaching at Iron Station, this will be my 17th year in education. Throughout the years, I have worked at Head Start, A Place to Grow and with Catawba County Schools. I have worked with special education and believe every child has a voice! I am a strong advocate for my students and love to make learning fun. I have been married for 21 years and have two teenage daughters who keep me very busy. My hobbies include watching my daughter play softball, traveling and relaxing with my family. I received my undergraduate degree from Western Carolina in Early Childhood and went on to obtain my Birth- Kindergarten NC teaching license from Eastern Carolina. I have 1 dog whose name is Copper. He is a full-blooded, long-haired chihuahua and is very spoiled.

**Fun fact**

I went to school here at Iron Station when I was younger!

Miss Mary

Hi! My name is Mary Winslow and this is my third year working in Lincoln County schools and here at Iron Station Elementary. In the past, I have worked in Early Head Start, as a lead teacher in numerous five-star centers, and have owned/operated an in-home center in the Ballantyne area. I have been working in the Early Childhood field for over twenty years. I graduated from Cleveland Community College with an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2019. I’m a mother to three wonderful children who keep me busy and blessed! I love to sew, decorate and refurbish antiques in what little spare time I have. I believe that teaching is a “calling” and I could not see myself doing anything else.
