Bachelor of Music Education Master of Arts in Teaching

Mr. William Fisher

William Fisher is in his 3rd year at Lincolnton High School, serving as Director of Bands. A native of Granite Falls, North Carolina, and graduate of South Caldwell High School, he earned his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Lenoir-Rhyne University. Fisher continued at LRU, receiving his Master of Arts in Teaching in 2022.

His bands have performed across the state, consistently receiving superior and excellent performance ratings. One of his most significant sources of pride has been the number of his high school students who have continued in the field of music education after leaving Lincolnton High School.

Fisher holds professional memberships in the National Association for Music Education, the North Carolina Music Educators Association, the North Carolina Bandmasters Association, and the South Central District Bandmasters Association.

Outside of his duties and responsibilities at Lincolnton, Fisher serves as the Brass Instructor for the 'Spirit of LR Marching Band' at Lenoir-Rhyne University and as an active adjudicator and clinician for concert and marching bands in North Carolina.

Currently, Fisher resides in Lincolnton and spends his free time camping and serving as the Program Director for Camp Bud Schiele in Rutherfordton.
