Hello!

My name is Sarah Burgess and I am a first grade teacher at Love Memorial Elementary School. This is my third year teaching and I could not be more excited to get started! I graduated from Appalachian State University in 2021 with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in Math and Science. I LOVE working with students and my favorite part of teaching is seeing how much they grow in just one short year!

I am married to Mr. Burgess, a 7th grade Social Studies teacher at WLMS, and we have a beautiful daughter, Ava Drew. My very first baby is our sweet, one-year-old, golden retreiver, Kota. I love teaching, traveling, Disney, and all things food!
