• Jennifer Gosnell

Hi, my name is Jennifer Gosnell, and I am excited to begin this school year in Lincoln County Schools, and with the Patriot family at Battleground Elementary. I have worked both as an elementary classroom teacher and elementary school counselor in Gaston County Schools for the past ten years, and in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools for three years prior to GCS. I completed by Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at Belmont Abbey College and my Master's degree in School Counseling from Liberty University. I am a married, mom of four adult children and I love spending time with my family (especially playing games), church, live theatre/sports/concerts, and I love to read.

As the school counselor, I will work with teachers and parents to assist students development of academic, career, and social/emotional skills. I will also work to assist students in overcoming any barriers to their learning. If you need to contact me, please email at jennifer.gosnell@lincoln.k12.nc.us or call me at 704-736-1626 extension 24708, and I will assist in any way I can. Here is a Google Slide presentation that explains more about my role as a School Counselor

Thank you so much for your support of our school and I look forward to meeting you soon!

    Counseling Mission Statement

The mission of the school counseling program at Battleground Elementary is to provide equitable access to all students, helping them to achieve their highest level of academic success, college and career readiness, and social/emotional health. Counselors provide face-to-face counseling services, through classroom, small group, and individual counseling.
