Mrs. Samantha Langley

Hello Everyone! My name is Samantha Langley and I am thrilled to be a 3rd grade teacher at S. Ray Lowder Elementary. I started my career in education as a 1st grade teaching assistant and school bus driver at S. Ray Lowder and I fell in love with the students, school, and the community and decided to go back to school to get my full teaching license.

I graduated in 2015 from UNCC with a Bachelors of Arts in Anthropology and I graduated in 2020 from Belmont Abbey College with a Bachelors of Arts in K-6 Elementary Education. I was a lateral entry candidate during my teaching education and taught 6th grade English at Grier Middle School in Gaston County from 2018-2021. Then last year I was overjoyed to accept a position in Lincoln County Schools working at S. Ray Lowder again.

My husband, Josh, and I just celebrated our one-year wedding anniversary in June of this year and we are now very excited about welcoming our daughter, Nora, at the end of September! We are also the proud dog parents of three crazy rescue dogs, Aela, Lydia, and Jeff. We are definitely animal lovers.

I suspect that most of my free-time this year will be devoted to my daughter, but I enjoy reading, hiking, and exercising in my free-time. Mostly, I love teaching and learning from my students and I can't wait for another great school year as a Lowder Lion!
