Mr. David J. Jones...CTE Business and Information Technology Education: I have been teaching full time since 1994. I have taught both at the community college and high school levels.  I obtained my Teaching Certification in History at East Carolina University (class of '92). I am new to this area, and I love it here.  I moved here from Carteret County (Atlantic Beach). I also have an Associate's in Business Administration from Lenoir Community College (class of '89) and a Bachelor's in Public Business from UNC-CH (class of '90). My father served in the Air Force for twenty years, so I was raised as a "military brat". As a result, I have lived in/experienced four countries (including Japan/Okinawa and the Philippines) and thirty-six US states. I have wanted to be a teacher ever since I can remember.  Since I began my teaching career, I have never had cause to look back.  I love what I do and I hope to be doing it for some time to come.  I recently started at Lincolnton High School in mid-February of 2021 and I am already beginning to think of this place as home.  I have practical experience in the world of finance, setting up personal loans, mortgages, office administrator, etc. and I look forward to bringing that knowledge as well as my teaching experience into the CTE courses here.  Please feel free to contact me if I can help in any way.
