Hello families!

I'm Shana Smith and I’m excited to enter my 8th year teaching and 3rd year at Iron Station! I obtained my BA in Elementary Education from Lenoir-Rhyne University in 2015. I grew up, and now live, in Pumpkin Center. I got married in 2016 to my husband, Jarrod, and we are now expecting a baby boy in February! We love camping, riding our UTV and spending time with our English Bulldog, Sophie!

Building relationships with my students is what I love most! I love to get to know them, their families and even sit on the sidelines during sports games! My favorite subject to teach is reading! I look forward to sharing my passion with my students!
