Welcome to the Spanish Two classroom. I am Dr. Higbie, Spanish Two teacher. Just a few things about me: I am a certified Spanish teacher with over 31 years experience as a teacher and school administrator. I have a Bachelor's degree in Spanish from the City University of New York at Queens, and a Master's and Doctorate in Education from UNC-Charlotte. My family and I have lived in North Carolina for 46 years and in Lincoln County for 44 years. I have four daughters and ten grandchildren. My hobbies include watching baseball, especially my favorite team, the New York Mets, and visiting baseball parks.
Supplies for Spanish Class (remember we cannot share supplies)
Binder (1" /1 1/2') with looseleaf paper, 3X5 index cards, small one-hole punch, pens (blue or black), erasers, pencils, erasers, highlighters, colored pencils, hand sanitizer, hand-held pencil sharpener, 12 inch ruler, glue stick, indivdual pack of tissues, small box to hold index cards or large metal ring.
Course Description
Spanish Two: This course provides students with opportunities to continue the development of their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. In addition, students will continue to develop a better understaning of the culture of Spanish-speaking countries.
