Welcome 5th Grade Parents and Students!

My name is Shelby Barkley and this is my sixth year teaching at S. Ray Lowder Elementary.

I grew up in Lincolnton, NC and actually attended S. Ray lowder when I was in elementary school. I graduated from Lincolnton High School in 2014… GO WOLVES!!! After high school, I attended Lenoir-Rhyne University and graduated in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education. In 2019, I graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne with my masters' degree in Online Teaching and Instructional Design. 

I have very high expectations for each of my students and expect that they will work hard each day to be excellent people and scholars! I am eager to get to know each and every student that walks through my classroom door. I am ready for a great year at S. Ray Lowder.
