Hey Families,

Welcome to Kindergarten!

My name is Amy Matthews. I am excited about being your child's teacher for the upcoming school year! This will be my 11th year of teaching and my sixth year at Union Elementary. I am from Pumpkin Center, NC. I grew up and attended school in Pumpkin Center and then went on to receive my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Lenoir-Rhyne University. My husband, Isaiah, and I have 3 blessings; Eli, who is in 7th grade, Rylan, who is in 6th grade, and Caroline, who is in 2nd! We love to spend time outside camping, hiking, fishing, and exploring!

I look forward to working closely with you and your child in the coming year. We have lots of fun and exciting things planned!
