• Check out the information about the NC School of Science and Math.  Even if you don't want to enroll in the residential program, there are great opportunities for enrichment over the summer.  Summer Ventures is a four week program that allows you to have hands-on experience in the STEM field of your choice.

I have been in education for over twenty years, and cannot imagine being anywhere else.   I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in Biology and a Master of Chemical and Life Science degree.   I spent the first seventeen years in the classroom as a high school biology and chemistry teacher, which was a fulfilling experience.    A few years ago I decided to take my career in a new direction and earned a Masters of Education in School Counseling degree.  I love working with students in this new capacity and I look forward to the future here at NLHS.
