My name is Sheila Wright, and I am excited to begin 2022-2023 in my fourth year as Assistant Principal at North Brook Elementary.

I am currently in my 22nd year of education, with 18 years in an elementary classroom. I graduated in 2001 from Appalachian State University and was hired to teach fourth grade at Pumpkin Center Elementary. I taught fourth grade for fourteen years and third grade for four years at Pumpkin Center. I grew up in the Lincoln County School System and graduated from West Lincoln High School.  I love to learn, so I am continually looking for ways to grow as an educator and challenge myself. I received my Masters in Reading Education (K-12), as well as my Post-Master certificate in School Administration from UNC-Charlotte. In 2016, I obtained my National Board Certification in Middle Childhood Generalist. I am currently working towards my Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction at Gardner-Webb University. 

It is an honor to be a part of the Blue Jay family, and I am looking forward to a fantastic school year! Thank you for sharing your children and allowing us the opportunity to make a difference in their lives.
