Hello! My name is Carrie Gauthier and I am very excited about teaching at Norris Childers Elementary.  This is my thirteenth year of teaching, and it is my twelfth year teaching fourth grade.  Lincoln County Schools is a wonderful school district to teach in.  I taught fourth grade in Gaston County for five years, and I taught fifth grade at Kiser Intermediate during the 2014-2015 school year. 

I attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for two years of Undergraduate Study.  During this time, I met my husband, who was enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. and stationed at Camp LeJeune.  This is located near Wilmington, N.C.  Therefore, I transferred to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and graduated with my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education.  

My husband and I have three young children, Hunter, Carlee and Claire.  Hunter is our inquisitive fifth grader, and Carlee is our energetic third grader.  Claire is excited about attending Pre-K this year!  I am grateful for this opportunity to work at such an amazing school, with talented colleagues and a supportive administration that put children first.  I look forward to working together as team in order for your child to have a successful school year!
